Dear Sir or Madam: I offer a well rounded skill set, essential for an engineer in a setting as complex as a drilling installation. I have maintained and repaired almost every type of shipboard system including, pumps, electronics, DP system, hydraulics, thrusters, automation, and diesels. I’m an excellent leader, and enjoy good working relationships with my coworkers and team members. Even in Brazil where the language barrier makes communications difficult, I’m able to orchestrate tasks involving multiple personnel of different linguistic backgrounds safely and efficiently. My strongest skills lye in problem solving, having a natural understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment. For the past two year I’ve worked aboard diesel electric vessels, trouble shooting and diagnosing problems that arise with electrical generation and propulsion systems. I’m well versed in the interplay between the generating plant and the demand of large solid state drives.  I’m familiar with the safety standards of the offshore drilling industry, having been a part of Tidewaters safety management system. The system includes stop work obligation, job safety analysis, personal protective equipment, and continuous training in the hazards of the workplace.
